Here at Ohio Made, we are dedicated to illustrating the importance of shopping Ohio Made. To do that we will be featuring makers set to attend the Ohio Made Holiday Market on November 15th & 16th. While our events offer free admission to the public, we also offer ticketed times where shoppers can get their shopping done before the event opens to the general public. Our VIP event on Friday features discounts to shop, drink specials, special VIP Raffle, all while getting the earliest access to Shop Ohio Made. Meet the Maker: CollarDoos

Please join Ohio Made in welcoming Kristen, the founder and owner of CollarDoos, to the Ohio Made Holiday Market. Kristen is a mama to 3 year old boy, a 1 year old girl, and a fur-mama to a sweet Great Dane, Scrappy, and ornery Dane pup, Beau.

Kristen is a proud graduate of THE Ohio State University. She says that she is fortunate enough to have CollarDoos as her full time career for the past seven years. She loves taking pictures of her kids and pups, and they are often featured on their website and social media pages. You’ll also notice some other adorable local pooches who enjoy repping the CollarDoos products. In addition to running CollarDoos, Kristen has trained three of her Danes as Canine Good Citizens, while two have gone on to be certified Therapy Dogs. For Kristen, volunteering in her community has not only been fun, but rewarding, and a wonderful bonding experience. 

At CollarDoos, Kristen offers a full collection of dog products-collars, leashes, bow ties, flowers and bandanas, along with an apparel line of t-shirts and hats for dog lovers. Their Great Danes were the inspiration for some of their early designs and they started CollarDoos on the basis of the love for their pups, and wanting to follow current fashion trends to dress them up to showcase their personalities. Kristen has a background in marketing and loves working on their website, product photography, and social media promotions.

As a small business owner, Kristen believes she wear many hats with different responsibilities, and no day is the same as the one before. She is constantly challenged to learn new things as she goes, which makes it all worth it.

Kristen feels beyond blessed to have a career where she can be a successful business owner, love her day to day job, and carve a schedule that fits her family lifestyle too. To Kristen, Ohio Made has been such a wonderful platform to meet her customers face to face, have them see/feel/touch her products, and see the names behind the brand. She loves when customers approach her booth showing them pictures of their dogs. CollarDoos wholeheartedly shares the love of their dogs right back with you.

With your dedication to shopping Ohio Made, CollarDoos is able to donate a portion of sales at local events to support local rescues. CollarDoos is also able to donate thousands of dollars in product each year, to local rescues and shelters, to be used in photos, attracting adopters. Not only do they give back in monetary donations and products, but their pups, Scooby & Scrappy have volunteered in countless programs as certified Therapy Dogs, with the Reading Buddies program, in local libraries, schools, in grief situations, at de-stressing events, etc.
